Viracor Eurofins set the standard in molecular infectious disease testing through innovative, high quality assay development and performance. We were among the first laboratory services company to commercially offer quantitative, real-time PCR assays for adenovirus, BK virus, and JC virus, among others. Coupled with turnaround times among the fastest in the industry, we excel in performing complex molecular infectious disease assays.

Our extensive menu of molecular virology, mycology, and bacterial assays are designed to complement the existing laboratory services of hospitals. We offer a comprehensive menu of real-time PCR assays for pathogen detection and monitoring. Additionally, we offer antiviral resistance assays and other pathogen characterization assays.

Leading through innovation and rapid turnaround times, we offer optimal testing solutions for a number of critical conditions including meningitis, respiratory infections, gastroenteritis of infectious origin, and invasive fungal infections. We offer a comprehensive suite of mycology assays to aid in the challenging diagnosis of invasive fungal infections. Due to increasing concern regarding the significant clinical and financial implications of nosocomial infection outbreaks, sensitive and rapid detection of these pathogens has never been more important. Implementation of effective infection control measures begins with rapid and reliable laboratory results. With access to our extensive infectious disease menu, clinicians can make faster, more informed treatment decisions with greater confidence.

Viracor Eurofins simplifies the specimen collection and send-out process for hospitals. We are able to perform multiple assays on a single specimen thereby minimizing required specimen volume when extensive testing is requested.  We accept a wide variety of specimens to assist in the management of highly complex patients. We process specimens Monday through Saturday and offer exceptional turnaround times even on Saturday, enabling clinicians to make prompt and effective treatment decisions.
