We believe compliance is best achieved by an organizational-wide quality management system that prescribes all quality assurance activities which includes the establishment and maintenance of written policies and procedures for all phases of the total testing process (pre-analytical, analytic, and post analytical) as well as general laboratory systems.  The quality management system at Viracor Eurofins is a systemic approach that describes, documents, implements, measures, and monitors the effectiveness of laboratory operations in meeting regulatory and organizational requirements.  The quality assurance program monitors quality across the company through the use of quality indicators to constantly reevaluate critical processes and improve customer service.  Examples of these indicators include: test turnaround time; compliance with policy and procedure; accuracy of pre analytical data entry; accuracy of laboratory reports; and training and competency of laboratory personnel.
