David Morgan

President

David Morgan serves as President of Viracor Eurofins. Mr. Morgan is a healthcare executive with 20 years of experience running various-sized private companies and large divisions of public companies. He has also served on several for-profit and not-for-profit Boards of Directors. Prior to joining Viracor, Mr. Morgan was President and CEO of Vantage Point Holdings, Inc., a private equity-backed group of diagnostic companies that were sold to Sonic Heathcare in January of 2017. Before his time at Vantage Point Holdings, Mr. Morgan held senior executive positions at Cogent Healthcare, Beacon Bay Holdings, and Laboratory Corporation of American. Mr. Morgan began his career with US LABS, Inc., where he held several management positions culminating as Vice President of Operations when the company was sold to LabCorp in 2006. Following the acquisition by LabCorp, Mr. Morgan remained with the company where he held several general management positions as both Vice President and Senior Vice President. Mr. Morgan was responsible for integrating LabCorp’s many Oncology and Anatomic Pathology companies into its Oncology Division, which later become known as Integrated Oncology. Prior to his career in healthcare, Mr. Morgan was a 10 year veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from University of Pittsburgh and a Master’s degree from Central Michigan University.

Michelle Altrich

Michelle Altrich

PhD, HCLD, Chief Scientific Officer and Clinical Laboratory Director

Dr. Altrich is the Chief Scientific Officer and Clinical Laboratory Director at Viracor Eurofins. In her previous role at IBT, Dr. Altrich was responsible for new test development in the area of cellular function testing for allergy and autoimmune diseases as well as serving as the Assistant Lab Director for IBT's menu of immunodiagnostic tests. Dr. Altrich joined IBT in 2006 as a Senior Scientist. Prior to joining IBT, Dr. Altrich held an appointment at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville where she specialized in molecular and cellular immunology. Dr. Altrich received her PhD in pathology and microbiology from the University of Nebraska Medical Center where her research focused on tumor immunology.

Steven Kleiboeker

PhD, HCLD/TS/CC(ABB), Vice President, Research & Development

Steven Kleiboeker, PhD, Vice President of Research and Development, is responsible for the scientific direction and oversight of the Company's research and development programs as well as the BioPharma and Clinical Trial Biomarker Services research services. The Viracor Eurofins R&D team performs method discovery, development and validation for assays performed in Viracor Eurofins’ clinical and BioPharma Clinical Trials testing laboratories in the fields of molecular infectious diseases, immunology and allergy. Dr. Kleiboeker is board certified as a high-complexity laboratory director, technical supervisor and clinical consultant by the American Board of Bioanalysis. Over his career, he has published more than 60 scientific manuscripts and serves on editorial boards and as a reviewer for several virological and microbiological journals. Prior to joining Viracor Eurofins in 2005, Dr. Kleiboeker was a faculty member at the University of Missouri where his duties included research, graduate teaching, and supervision of three university-based diagnostic service laboratories (virology, serology and molecular diagnostics). His research has focused on viral pathogenesis, phylogenetics and diagnostics and has included projects investigating a broad range of human and animal pathogens. Dr. Kleiboeker has served as both principal investigator and co-investigator on numerous government-funded research grants (NIH, USDA). Dr. Kleiboeker received his PhD and DVM from the University of Missouri.

Scott Mattivi

Scott Mattivi

MT (ASCP), Vice President of Operations and General Manager of BioPharma

Scott Mattivi is the Vice President of Operations and General Manager of BioPharma. He is responsible for the daily oversight of logistical, operational, and quality laboratory operations leading the lab to an expanded footprint and growth in testing volume and complexity over the years. Mr. Mattivi joined Viracor Eurofins in 2009, and has held positions as Laboratory Manager and Laboratory Operations Director. Notable accomplishments during his tenure include moving the lab operations from a single day shift to a 24 x 7 operation, continual improvement in the lab including expansion of automation and other cost saving improvements for the company. Mr. Mattivi also led the successful implementation of a QMS plan resulting in CAP accreditation for Viracor Eurofins. Prior to joining Viracor Eurofins, he served as a Laboratory Manager at Quest Diagnostics. Mr. Mattivi graduated from the University of Kansas with a BS in Medical Technology and from Pittsburg State University with a BS in Biology.

David Knecht

David Knecht

Director, Financial Planning

David Knecht is the Director of Financial Planning, with responsibility for financial, legal, tax and treasury functions. Prior to joining Viracor Eurofins in 2016, Mr. Knecht led a multi-year computer system implementation as Vice President of Business Integration for Dairy Farmers of America, a national dairy cooperative. He has also served as the Chief Financial Officer for SYSCO Kansas City, a foodservice distributor. Mr. Knecht began his career as an auditor with KPMG, where he led financial audits of companies such as Associated Wholesale Grocers and Farmland Industries. Mr. Knecht earned a BS in Accounting and Business Administration from the University of Kansas, is a licensed CPA, and previously served as Chairman of the Board of Gillis, a charity serving children and families in Kansas City.

Brandy Alexander

Brandy Alexander

SPHR, SHRM-SCP, Director, Human Resources

Brandy Alexander, Director of Human Resources, is responsible for leading human resources at Viracor Eurofins. Her responsibilities include the development and implementation of human capital strategy and oversight of the administration of all human resources functions. These include recruitment, performance management, benefits, compensation, associate relations, risk management and payroll.  Prior to her career at Viracor Eurofins, Mrs. Alexander held a variety of roles within Cerner Corporation’s human resources organization which included working as a HR Business Partner consulting with senior leadership to develop human resources strategies in alignment with business objectives. She holds a BS in economics from Baker University and MA in economics from the University of Kansas.

Jenni Miller

Jenni Miller

Director, Marketing

Jenni Miller is the Company’s Director of Marketing. Ms. Miller joined Viracor Eurofins in January 2012 as a Marketing Manager with responsibilities including brand and corporate communications, client engagement initiatives, and marketing the Company’s BioPharma services.  In 2013, she was also responsible for sales operations and managed communications related to the Company’s acquisitions and integrations.  Prior to joining Viracor Eurofins, Ms. Miller worked at Cerner Corporation in various roles spanning from product and services marketing and initiatives, to leading the Brand Integrity team and new logo launch, and serving as Sr. Team Lead for the Business Development Partners group that operated as internal consultants to over 20 business units advising on marketing, learning and social business strategies.  She has a background in advertising and was an Account Executive at several Kansas City-based ad agencies early in her career.  Ms. Miller holds a BS in Journalism with emphasis in Advertising/Strategic Communications from the University of Kansas.

Michael Seymour

Manager, Regulatory Affairs/Quality Assurance and Chief Compliance Officer

Michael Seymour serves as the Company’s Chief Compliance Officer and Manager of Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance where he oversees the company’s Quality Management System including all aspects of clinical laboratory and medical device manufacturing licensure and accreditation, inspection readiness, external audits and the internal auditing program. Since joining Viracor Eurofins in 2008, Mr. Seymour led the redesign of the company’s validation process resulting in receiving a limited exemption from submission of individual validation packages for Virology assays with the New York State Department of Health. Mr. Seymour is a Certified Quality Auditor through American Society for Quality and holds a BS in chemistry from Creighton University.

Matt Urbanek

Matt Urbanek

Vice President, Finance (Eurofins Clinical Diagnostic US NDSC, Inc.)

Matt Urbanek serves as the Vice President, Finance over Eurofins’ U.S.-based clinical diagnostics businesses.  Prior to this, he was the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Viracor Eurofins, having been, responsible for all of the company’s financial, legal, tax and treasury functions within Viracor Eurofins.  During that tenure, Mr. Urbanek has also overseen Viracor Eurofins’s compliance, logistics, client services and information technology functions.  Prior to joining Viracor Eurofins, Mr. Urbanek was a Vice President at George K. Baum Advisors, LLC, an investment-banking firm that specializes in mergers and acquisitions, raising private capital and financial advisory services for middle-market companies. In this role he initiated and executed mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and financings, as well as business valuations, fairness opinions and board advisory services for clients in the business services sector. Mr. Urbanek earned a BA in business administration and finance and a BS in economics from Kansas State University.  He is a member of the Finance Advisory Board for Kansas State University’s Department of Finance.

Linda Flebbe-Rehwaldt

Linda Flebbe-Rehwaldt

PhD, Senior Scientist

Linda Flebbe-Rehwaldt is a Senior Scientist focused on new test development for allergy and clinical immunology. Dr. Flebbe-Rehwaldt joined Viracor Eurofins laboratories in 2010 and is currently working on developing cellular immunology and immunochemistry assays. Prior to joining Viracor Eurofins she held an appointment at the University of California, San Francisco working on gene delivery mechanisms for gene therapy. Her postdoctoral training was at UCSF studying regulatory elements of the human beta hemoglobin complex. She received her PhD from the University of Kansas Medical Center.

Mark Wissel

Mark Wissel

PhD, Senior Scientist

Mark Wissel is the company's Assistant Director for Clinical Mycology. Dr. Wissel has been a Senior Scientist directing the development of fungal diagnostic assays at Viracor Eurofins since 2006. Prior to joining Viracor Eurofins, he was a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Microbiology, Molecular Genetics and Immunology  at the University of Kansas Medical Center where he conducted research into the molecular mechanisms of bacterial cell division.  He received his PhD in Microbiology from the University of Iowa College of Medicine.
